From Artifact to Transformation ***** Our world becomes increasingly more interconnected and the frequency of change continues to accelerate. What roles can designers play in this evolving cultural context? How can we shift the perspective of our craft and practice to make broad and meaningful impact with our work? In this talk, Henry will explore the different trajectories of design, design thinking, and the interface between design and other professions. ABOUT THE SPEAKER ***** Henry Hong-Yiu Cheung Currently jamming with like-minded colleagues in his role as Practice Lead for Systems at Scale at IDEO?s Chicago office, Henry is a designer by practice and an adventurer at heart. His core proficiency is in using design thinking to map out unseen opportunities and emerging trends in order to develop the desired outcomes. Henry believes the richness of solutions evolves from a combination of an honest and open collaborative process and rigorous execution. Always the curious collaborator in search of challenging ways of thinking, Henry has worked with Bruce Mau Design, Office for Metropolitan Architecture, and Microsoft Corp.
